Gianni Cinti (Umbria 1979) after an artistic education was admitted to the renowned “Istituto per le Industrie Artistiche” in Urbino: here he could develop a personal creative language, able to cross over different fields, and soon he meets fashion.
He cooperated with several brands (M+F Girbaud, Alberta Ferretti, MSGM, Miroglio, Napapijri, Corneliani) and had been part of Gianfranco Ferrè’s creative team for more than 5 years, operating in the historical venue of “Via Pontaccio” in Milan. Since the opening of his own design studio, in 2010, besides Fashion – which still remains his main trade – he has approached many companies: from Design (Pininfarina, Sambonet), to Publishing (Rizzoli) and Food (Gambero Rosso), and contributed to numerous other projects, blending creativity and style with a rigorous design methodology. He is the signature designer of luckily project “Heritage” for historical German porcelain Brand Rosenthal. One of his peculiar features is to re-discover artistic craftsmanship and to re-think noble and refined materials such as ceramic and textile.
His works appeared in several trade magazines and won many awards (as an honourable mention at The Lucky Strike Design Award and a candidacy to Compasso d’Oro). He is currently a design consultant for many Italian and international companies, from the US to China.
Cosmopolite, curious traveller, and passionate about contemporary art, he is a Visiting Professor at numerous universities all over the world and teaches Personal Design at the “Istituto Europeo di Design” in Milan, the city where he lives and works.
